Welcome to Your Home Away From Home
When you arrive at the home, please take a look around and familiarize yourself with the contents of the cabinets, drawers, and closets. We want you to have a wonderful time here, and so we have done our best to stock the house with everything you will need for a comfortable stay! There should be a starter amount of toilet paper, shampoo, soap and laundry detergent to get your trip started. There are several grocery stores nearby for your continued needs.
If you find anything in the home that is not to your satisfaction, please let us know within the first 24 hours of your arrival so that we can make it right!
Please respect our home like it is your own. We have lovingly remodeled this home with our family, children, friends and guests in mind. Please be mindful of the work, detail, furnishings and amenities we have provided. Any missing or damaged items will be charged to you accordingly.
House Rules
Please be sure to read these rules entirely. By staying here, you are agreeing to these rules. We have put a lot of effort into making this home a wonderful space for your vacation, and we appreciate you taking good care of it!
- No smoking (of any kind) inside OR outside the home. Violations will result in a $500 fine for extra cleaning fees.
- No parties or events.
- No unapproved pets on the property. If you are staying with a pet, they MUST be pre-approved on Airbnb. Please review and abide by the pet rules below.
- No illegal substances permitted on the property.
- No glassware or ceramic dishes in the pool area.
- Quiet hours from 10pm to 8am. All of our neighbors live here full-time, so please be considerate of them.
- Maximum of 6 overnight guests.
- You are responsible for the cost of replacing any lost or damaged items.
We know these rules are a no-brainer for most guests – but thank you for taking the time to read them carefully!
Pet Rules
- Clean up after your dog immediately after it eliminates. Leaving dog poop in the yard will result in a fine.
- Puppy pee pads are strictly prohibited. If your dog is not fully trained to eliminate outside, it is not permitted to stay at the house.
- Your dog must be crated if left home unattended.Â
- Dogs are not permitted to swim in the pool. Fur clogs the filter and can damage the pool pump.Â
- You are responsible for the cost of replacement or repair if your dog damages anything in the house.Â
House Guide
Kitchen
Please take a look through all the drawers and cabinets to familiarize yourself with the contents of the kitchen. It is fully stocked with pots, pans, measuring cups, toaster, blender, mixing bowls, and more – everything a home chef needs!
All appliances were purchased brand new in 2021 and should be in excellent working condition. If you are experiencing issues with any of the appliances, please let us know.
Please note that there is NO garbage disposal in the sink.Â
The dishwasher is plugged into an outlet that is connected to a light switch. Please leave the light switch labeled “Dishwasher” turned on. If the switch is turned off, the dishwasher will not work.
Bathrooms
Each of the bathrooms is equipped with an LED Bluetooth speaker light. To connect your phone to the Bluetooth speaker:
- Flip the switch to the ‘on’ position (the dash).
- Wait a few seconds, then press the ‘Music’ button.
- You should hear a chime from the speaker.
- Open the Bluetooth settings on your phone.Â
- The name of the speaker in the guest bathroom is “HOMEWERKS(JA199)”.Â
- The name of the speaker in the master bathroom is “HOMEWERKS(JA808)”.
- If you turn the switch off, the Bluetooth speaker will be disconnected. Your phone should reconnect automatically when you turn it on again.
Towels are stocked in the linen closet directly next to the second bathroom as well as underneath the sink in the master bathroom.Â
Please note that in the master bathroom shower, the hot and cold water signs are reversed. Point the handle towards the blue icon for hot water, and towards the red icon for cold water.
Pool
Children should NEVER be left unattended by the pool. The baby gate is installed for guests’ safety and convenience. If you take it down during your stay, please set it back up again before you leave.Â
The pool is heated to 85 degrees and the heater runs all day. Please contact us if you have any questions about the pool heater.
Pool service comes twice a week to clean the pool on Tuesdays and Fridays.
TV
The TV in the living room is a smart TV with various apps installed. There is no cable. The remote should be in the TV console, and you can log in to your various streaming services (Netflix, Prime Video, Hulu, etc.) if you have an account.
The TV in the master bedroom is also a smart TV where you can log in to your various streaming services. The remote should be on the dresser.Â
Bedrooms
The two smaller bedrooms each have bedside lamps that contain USB ports.
The master bedroom has an en-suite bathroom. Please note that the doors from the master bedroom to the lanai DO NOT open.Â
Heating/Cooling
The thermostat is located on the wall just off of the kitchen. Please do not set the temperature to cool lower than 65 degrees or heat higher than 80 degrees. Extremes in either direction can cause the AC unit to become overworked and damaged.
WiFi/Internet
The network name is Klinger, and the password is Jellybean.
The modem for internet connection is located behind the leather chair in the reading nook. To reboot the modem, turn the power off, wait 10 seconds, and then turn it back on again. It may take a few minutes for the WiFi to become available to connect to again.
Garage Door
There are two garage door openers in the tray on the kitchen counter. Please return these to the tray on the bookshelf when you check out. If the garage door openers are not returned, there is a $250 replacement fee per device.
Use caution and verify the height of your vehicle prior to entry. We are not responsible for damage caused by oversized vehicles or damage to the home or mechanics of garage.
Bikes
The bicycles in the garage are there for you to enjoy! If you ever need to park the bike somewhere, please utilize the combination lock to secure it. The combination to each of the bike locks is 1877. Please be safe and wear a helmet.
Security & Doors
To unlock the door, press the Yale button followed by your code, then the check mark – e.g. Yale, 1-2-3-4, check. To lock the door, press Yale.
The door will automatically lock after 10 minutes.
Parking
There is room for you to park one car in the garage and up to four cars in the driveway. Please do not park on the street or in the cul-de-sac. We want to be respectful of our neighbors’ space 🙂Â
Trash
Trash bins are located on the side of the house. Trash pickup comes Monday morning. Please put bins out by the curb the night before, and bring them back to the side of the house after trash is picked up.Â
Laundry
Washer/dryer is in the garage and available for your use. Please clean out the dryer lint after each load. Please wash whites (towels and sheets) separately from other colored items.Â
Noise
When spending time outdoors and by the pool, please be considerate of the neighbors. Please refrain from yelling or playing music too loudly.

- Sarasota Farmer’s Market. Saturdays from 7am-1pm in downtown Sarasota.
Local Beaches
- Siesta Beach. Rated the #1 beach in the United States in 2020! The cool quartz sand is super soft, and the beach itself is huge. To get a parking spot, you will need to plan to get there before 10AM.
- Lido Beach. Best for finding shells. Bonus – the Lido Key Tiki Bar is on this beach!
- Turtle Beach. This beach is on the south end of Siesta Key. It’s a good choice if you can’t nab a parking spot at the main Siesta Beach parking lot.Â
